Eco-tourism looms in Mumbai with India’s first Mangrove Park Opens Soon !.

Mumbai is ready to unveil a unique green area – India’s first dedicated mangrove park, located in the cool coastal village of Gorai. This ambitious ecotourism project is spread over eight hectares, and is developed at an estimated cost of Rs 33.43 crore, offering the city’s inhabitants and tourists to drive a refreshing escape in nature.

Started by Mangrove Sale of Maharashtra Forest Department, the project in October 2021 began with a vision to create an educational, entertaining and conservation -centric destination. The park is now in its final stages and is expected to open the gates to the public in mid -August 2025.

The purpose of Mangrove Park is to highlight the ecological significance of the mangrove forests, which act as important coastal buffers, carbon washer and biological diversity hubs. It is designed to offer a unique learning experience through advanced boardwalk, observation tires and interactive performance that allows visitors to detect mangrove ecosystems without disturbing their natural balance.

Gorai, known for its cool beaches and rustic attractions, is ready to become a hotspot for eco-tourism with this new attraction. Park not only promises beautiful beauty, but also aims to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainable life.
