Springtime in Delhi just got more vibrant! The iconic Amrit Udyan—formerly known as the Mughal Gardens—is now open to the public until March 30, 2025. Nestled within the grand Rashtrapati Bhavan, this breathtaking garden is a paradise for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike.

Plan Your Visit: Important Dates & Timings

  • Open Days: Tuesday to Sunday (Closed on Mondays for maintenance)
  • Visiting Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Closed on Special Dates:
    • February 20-21 (Visitors' Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan)
    • March 14 (Holi celebrations)

 

Special Access Days at Amrit Udyan

To ensure inclusivity, special days have been set aside for different groups:
March 26 – Differently-abled individuals
March 27 – Defence, paramilitary, and police personnel
March 28 – Women and tribal women Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
March 29 – Senior citizens

How to Visit Amrit Udyan: Entry & Ticket Details

The best part? Entry is completely free! However, due to high demand, it’s recommended to make advance reservations, especially for weekends and special access days.

1️⃣ Visit visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in
2️⃣ Select Mughal Garden Visit (Udyanotsav)
3️⃣ Enter your details (name, visit date, etc.)
4️⃣ Upload a valid photo ID for registration
5️⃣ Confirm and download your digital entry pass

👉 Walk-in Entry: Free walk-in entry is available, but visitors must register at the Information Center or Self-Service Kiosks upon arrival.

Getting There: Travel & Shuttle Services

🚇 Nearest Metro Stations:

  • Central Secretariat Metro Station – 2 km away
  • Shivaji Stadium Metro Station – 2 km away

🚍 Free Shuttle Service:

  • Available from Gate No. 4 of Central Secretariat Metro Station
  • Operates daily between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM

Things to Keep in Mind

✔️ Entry through Gate No. 35 on North Avenue Road
✔️ Online bookings require a mobile number (One mobile can book for up to 30 visitors)
✔️ Mobile phones are allowed, but 🚫 cameras, food items, backpacks, and tobacco products are strictly prohibited

Special Event: Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav (March 6-9)
